In a phone call with his Yemeni counterpart, the Iranian Foreign Minister described the ceasefire agreement as the result of the resilience of the people of Gaza and the support of the resistance movement, including that of the Yemeni people for the oppressed people of Palestine.

Iran PressIran news: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi held a phone conversation with his Yemeni counterpart Jamal Ahmed Ali Amer on Saturday night, discussing bilateral issues and developments in the West Asia region.

The top Iranian diplomat mentioned the recent visit of UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg to Tehran, stating that "useful and effective" discussions took place during his trip to the Islamic Republic. Araghchi further stated that Iran will persist in its support for the Yemeni government and people.

Referring to the Gaza ceasefire agreement, Araghchi said that the deal is the result of the resilience of Gazans and the support extended by different resistance groups, including that by Yemen’s Ansarullah Movement and the Yemeni people, to the people of the besieged Palestinian territory.

The Iranian foreign minister highlighted Yemen's significant contribution to the victory, referring to the Arab country's military operations in support of Gaza in recent months. In response, the Yemeni minister expressed contentment with the ceasefire imposed on the Israeli regime.

He emphasized that Yemen is overseeing the ceasefire's implementation, indicating that future actions in support of Palestine hinge on the Israeli regime's adherence to the agreement and the complete cessation of the genocide against the Palestinian people.
