IP - Leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi reaffirms his stance on the deadline for delivering aid to Gaza, warning that military operations will commence immediately if the deadline is not met.

Why it matters:

Gaza was under siege, even before the war kicked off on October 7, 2023. Now in a devastated strip after 15 months of Israeli brutal aggressions, the Zionist regime maintains a complete closure of border crossings, blocking all aid, food, and fuel. Israel intentionally created the worst humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

Warning of military action by Yemen Ansarallah Leader and escalating tensions, particularly in the Red Sea, could mount pressure on Arab and Islamic nations to act on humanitarian aid for Gaza.

The big picture:

Gaza remains under severe blockade, with humanitarian aid facing hurdles despite international efforts.

Ansarallah forces have previously launched attacks to support Gaza Resistance in response to Israel’s genocides in Gaza, positioning themselves as a regional actor defending Palestine.

The broader West Asia remains volatile, with conflicts in Gaza and Syria drawing in various regional players.

What he's saying:

On Situation in Gaza:

"We stand firm on our position regarding the deadline for allowing aid into Gaza. Our armed forces are fully prepared to act," Leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi stated.

"Military operations will begin immediately once the deadline expires if aid does not enter Gaza," He added.

"It is the responsibility of Arab and Islamic governments to ensure aid reaches Gaza and to exert pressure to make that happen, Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi said

On Syria:

"The massacres on the Syrian coast are horrific crimes that must be condemned, and serious efforts must be made to stop them," Sayyed Abdul Malik al-Houthi said.

"Takfiri terrorist acts against unarmed civilians reveal the true nature of these criminal groups, they follow the same path as Zionists do," Ansarallah Leader said

Key points:

  • Arab and Islamic nations are urged to act, or they will be held accountable for inaction.
  • Ansarallah's leader strongly condemns ongoing violence in Syria, equating extremist attacks on civilians to Israeli actions.
  • Abdul Malik al-Houthi accuses Zionists of engineering the plot behind such crimes.
