Iran Press/West Asia: Gaza’s Government Media Office has reported that nearly 16,500 children have been killed in the ongoing conflict over the past 311 days, contributing to a staggering overall death toll of more than 39,897 individuals since the onset of hostilities. The office also noted that approximately 10,000 people remain missing as the humanitarian crisis deepens.

The grim statistics reveal that 36 children have died due to malnutrition, while women account for 11,088 of the fatalities. The conflict has also claimed the lives of 885 medical staff and 79 Civil Defence members, alongside 168 journalists. Disturbingly, 310 healthcare providers have been detained, and seven mass graves have been uncovered within hospitals, with 520 bodies exhumed from these sites.

The impact on the population is severe, with 92,152 individuals reported as wounded and 69% of the victims being children and women.

The Israeli military has targeted 175 shelters, leaving 17,000 children without one or both parents.

These figures highlight the catastrophic toll of the conflict, which has not only resulted in direct violence but has also led to widespread malnutrition, healthcare shortages, and significant psychological trauma among the affected populations.

The international community continues to call for urgent humanitarian intervention to address this escalating crisis and protect civilian lives in Gaza.
