The Supreme Council of Economic Coordination chaired by Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said that the media should counter the plots of enemies who are trying to dishearten the people.

Iran Press/Iran News: During the meeting of the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination on Saturday, the members added that fighting economic corruption is essential and media should counter enemies’ plots for dashing people’s hope

During the meeting, the Central Bank of Iran (CBI) was also instructed to use all means to secure the rights of those who had deposited their money in credit institutes.

Members of the council also emphasized serious, comprehensive, and inclusive fight against the roots of economic corruption, Iran Press reported.

Pointing out to the US sanctions against Iran, the Supreme Council of Economic Coordination reiterated that the government should counter sanctions.

The new round of US sanctions against Iran targeting Iranian oil exports, shipping, aviation industry and banking affairs went into effect on 5 November, 2018.

Iran won’t cave to US pressure: Rouhani

On Dec 12, 2018, President Rouhani said sanction is a form of economic and psychological warfare against Iran.

Speaking in a cabinet meeting he added that in these hard times, we must all support each other with unity. One of the most important things is to do something so that people do not have problems for having access to basic goods, Rouhani also said. 105/210/211
