Despite the US pull-out from the JCPOA, Austrian parliament supports its extension and it has declared its interest in saving the JCPOA to the European Union top negotiators, Chair of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Austrian National Council Andreas Schieder said.
He made the remarks in a meeting with Hossein Amiri Khamkani, the Iranian head of Iran-Austria parliamentary friendship group.
Schieder called for broadening of mutual cooperation in various fields, including parliamentary, tourism, academic and traditional medicine fields.
During the meeting, Khamkani called for the elevation of banking cooperation between Tehran and Vienna to prepare the grounds for promotion of ties in other economic fields.
The official expressed hope that the EU is not affected by the US pull-out from the JCPOA and support continuation of the deal.
