Scientific and academic institutions and human rights groups have condemned the US move, demanding the release of this Iranian scientist.
Masoumeh Javani, the mother of Massoud Soleimani who had been in coma for seven months after hearing that her son had been arrested by US security forces, died at the age of 63 not long ago.
Concern over her son's condition was announced as one of the reasons for her death. 104/219
