In a speech to the 75th General Assembly of the United Nations, the President of South Korea announced a plan for regional cooperation with his northern neighbor.

Iran PressAsia: In a speech to the UN General Assembly on Tuesday night, South Korean President Moon Jae-in announced a plan to work with countries in the region, including North Korea, to combat the coronavirus and disarm the Korean Peninsula.

In his speech, he spoke of ensuring North Korea's security if the country interacts with the international community.

Moon Jae-in also announced the establishment of a regional cooperation mechanism in East Asia to defuse military tensions and strengthen joint responses to issues such as disease.

In his remarks, Moon Jae-in expressed his desire to help North Korea fight the Coronavirus while Pyongyang said it would not receive any foreign aid.

North Korea also refused to cooperate with South Korea after the suspension of nuclear talks with the United States.
