Iran's Cultural Attaché' to Georgia said that the two countries are seeking for expansion of academic and scientific cooperation.

Iran Press/Asia: Hamid Mostafavi said on Friday that Iran and Georgia study grounds for expansion of academic and scientific cooperation between the two countries.

Mostafavi said in a meeting with the president of Akaki Tsereteli State University on Friday, IRNA reported.

In the meeting, both sides reviewed expansion of scientific and educational cooperation between the two countries. 

Some 12,000 domestic and foreign university students are now studying at the Akaki Tsereteli State University, the chancellor of the university said. Akaki Tsereteli State University has signed MoU with various world universities such as Gilan and Tabriz universities in the Islamic Republic of Iran, the chancellor said adding that grounds for expansion of cooperation between the two countries are well prepared. 105/207
