Abbas Araghchi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, held a phone call with Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani and discussed the latest developments in the region following the aggressions of the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran.

In a discussion about the strong and friendly relations between Iran and Qatar, the Iranian Foreign Minister emphasized Iran's commitment to continuing and strengthening comprehensive ties between the two nations, based on principles of good neighborliness and mutual benefit.

Araghchi stated that the actions taken by the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the missile operation against the American base in Al-Udeid were part of Iran's legitimate right to defense.

This response followed the U.S. military aggression on June 22, which violated Iran's territorial integrity and national sovereignty.

He clarified that this operation should not be perceived as an action against the friendly and brotherly government of Qatar.

Araghchi also highlighted the threats posed by the Zionist regime and the United States against Iran. He asserted that the Islamic Republic of Iran, in consultation with regional countries, would not allow its friendly relations with other nations in the region to be undermined by these threats.

Additionally, he praised the high-ranking officials of the Qatari government for condemning the aggression of the Zionist regime and the United States.

He recognized Qatar's constructive role and efforts in helping to prevent the escalation of insecurity in the region.
