Yaza (IP) - The first First Iranian – Hungarian Rectors' Conference (IHRC) was held in Yazd on Sunday.

Iran Press/Iran news: Deputy minister of Science, Research and Technology of Iran, Hossein Salar Amoli said in the first conference of Iranian and Hungarian universities that based on Scopus citation database, Iran's international science ranking is 16, and 29 Iranian universities were among the world's top universities in 2019.

Salar Amoli added: "Due to extra capacity of Iran's universities, the interest to cooperate with them is high, and Hungary is a clear example of this collaboration," Iran Press reported.

Stressing that academic and research exchanges between the universities promotes Iran and Hungary's cultures, president of Hungarian Rectors’ Conference and Rector of Budapest University of Technology and Economics, Janos Balazs Jozsa alsi said: "Undoubtedly, bilateral cooperation could boost the welfare and socioeconomic level of society."

The first Iranian – Hungarian Rectors' Conference (IHRC) in Yazd is attended by scholars from reputable universities of Iran and Hungary who will review the roadmap for scientific and international cooperation between Tehran and Budapest over the next two days.
