Leader of Yemeni Ansarallah Abdul-Malik Badreddin al-Houthi said aggressors on Yemen have been stuck in Hudiada quagmire.

“Both Persian Gulf states, which led a US-backed military coalition, are using the United Nations and its UN envoy as an umbrella to seize control the port city of Hodeidah through baseless justifications,” Yemeni News Agency (SABA) quoted al-Houthi as saying in a statement.

According to SABA, Ansarallah leader hailed victories achieved by the army and the popular forces in the Red Sea battle against the foreign military aggression. He also stressed the fact that  the aggressors aimed to implement US-Israeli conspiracies and plots in the Red  Sea.

The statement was released a day after the US-backed Saudi-led coalition forces launched a major assault on al-Tuhayta district in the western coast, south of Hodeidah port city.

Saudi Arabia and its regional allies attacked Yemen in March 2015 to bring back to power the deposed president of Yemen Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi. The invaders have committed horrible war crimes against Yemeni civilians during the past three years.
