Mashhad (IP) - Razavi Holy Shrine in the city of Mashhad is an excellent place to study the intricacies and the history of Iranian and Islamic arts.

Iran Press/ Iran news: The Razavi Holy Shrine in Northeast of Iran is considered as one of the most glorious historical and religious monuments of Mashhad, which is visited by thousands of Iranian and foreign tourists and pilgrims on a daily basis.

According to an Iran Press report, in the courtyard and the porticos of the Razavi Holy Shrine, one could see the ancient and precious tiles known as 'Soltan Sanjari' which dates back to some 8 centuries ago. The tiles are either square, hexagonal or octagonal in shape.

The flora and fauna and human patterns and designs appearing on the tiles belong to different eras of history, including Timurid, Safavid, and Qajar periods.

Apart from being a religious place, the Razavi Holy Shrine is the manifestation of the history of Iranian and Islamic arts.103/211/203
