Anoushirvan Mohseni-Bandpei, the director of the State Welfare Organization, in an exclusive interview with Iran Press on Tuesday said: "The previous law which was proposed and approved by Iranian lawmakers in 2004 -2005 , did not become operational because the government failed to supply the necessary resources to enact the legislation."
Mohseni-Bandpei added: "In the new law for protection of disabled people, the draft legislation itself was proposed by the Iranian government, and so all articles and provisions of the legislation was approved by the government and the resources necessary to enact it were also fully provided."
