Iran Press/Asia: Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif, who arrived in Nur-Sultan to participate in the meeting of the Astana Club International discussion platform, had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Tuesday to discuss issues of mutual interest.
The two sides discussed the development of bilateral ties and bilateral cooperation, as well as the latest regional and international issues.
Earlier on Tuesday, Zarif held talks with the former President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev.
Iran's Foreign Minister and Nazarbayev, who is now the Chairman of the National Security Council of Kazakhstan, discussed bilateral ties as well as the most important regional and global developments.
Iran's Foreign Minister headed for Kazakhstan on Monday to take part in the Astana Club 2019 in the Kazakh capital of Nur-Sultan.
He visited the Kazakh University of Eurasia in Nur-Sultan and delivered a speech titled 'New Paradigms and Discourses in the Contemporary World' on Monday.
Zarif also received the 'Honorary Professor' title of this university.
