Hamas representative in Lebanon, Osama Hamdan, warns some Arab countries about compromising on Al Quds and so called "Deal of the Century"; descried it as new American-Israeli re-arrangement for the region and create new arena for the benefits of Israel and US.

Iran Press/Middle East: "Everyone is now talking about what is called the Deal of the Century, I believe that it is a code name for new American-Israeli re-arrangement for the region and create new arena for the benefits of Israel and US," Hamdan said in an interview on Friday in the sideline of the first “Return of the Century” international graphic workshop.

"As a Palestinian, I believe no one will accept such an idea. We will resist that and no one accepts selling his own land. We will not accept Jerusalem as the capital for any state, it is capital of Palestinian state forever," he continued.

Hamdan also pointed to some Arab countries that are seeking to compromise with Israel and force the Palestinians to accept the "Deal of the Century", and stressed: "I believe there are some Arab countries, playing role on this but I want to remind everyone that forty years ago, (Anwar) Sadat went to Al Quds to sign the agreement and tried bring the Palestinians to the table and they said: No"!

"Now all the Palestinians are united against that and the resistance in Palestine is talking clear voice and clear action, not just because we want to undermine that, we believe the Palestinians have their land and we will liberate that, there are Palestinian refugees that want to return to their homeland, we have to create our own independent state," Hamas representative in Lebanon said.

He expressed his frustration about some Arab countries behavior in the region and their effort to normalize their relation with Israel; adding that: "If any Arab country is seeking to have relation with Israel, they can bring Israelis to their homeland, but I don't believe those who are negotiating about Al Quds as the capital of Israel, cannot be assured about their own capitals and anyone who wants to sell Al Quds to Israel, can sell Mecca or Medina after all."

Hamdan went on saying that: "Everyone must be sure that this will not happen, this will not pass; if anyone wants to do something must know that the resistance is against occupation."

He mentioned Palestinians demonstration in Gaza, demanding their right to return to the homes and land and said: "Those demonstration is part of the Palestinian resistance, we had first and second Intifada, we have militant resistance and we stand against Israeli occupation in Gaza or Al Quds and these demonstrations will continue until the liberation of the Palestine."

"I know there will be Martyrs and causalities but this is the nature of occupation, it kills them, kills those who resist and kills who do not resist. If you do not resist, it will kill your future, if you don't resist against occupation, you will be finished. Occupation is an equation and this equation will not be stable if this is removed from Palestinian land" he said, mentioning brutal response from Israeli troops to peaceful Palestinian demonstration.

"Today we don't have weapons, no one knows what will happen tomorrow, but the fact we believe in is that every time when people resist, occupation defeated and people liberated," Hamdan said, went on saying that "This is the fact we know from history, we know from life and we will continue resistance by asking to return, by military actions against occupation until the occupation is not our concern."

The first 'Quds The Eternal capital of Palestine' international graphic workshop, is underway in Holy city of Mashhad in North East of Iran. The 3- day event (May 1-4 2019) is held in a bid to raise awareness about the Israeli occupation of Palestine as well as US President Donald Trump’s so-called "Deal of the century".

According to workshop's officials, some 560 artists have contributed to the workshop from 10 countries across the world ranging from the Indian subcontinent to Algeria and the event is aimed at the artistic fight against the "Deal of the Century".

According to the "Deal of the Century" -- a plan which has been vehemently rejected by Arab and Muslim countries -- the city of al-Quds (Jerusalem) will be handed over to Israel and Palestinian refugees in other countries won't have the right to return to their homeland, and Palestinians will only rule over the remaining parts of the occupied West Bank and Gaza strip.
