The Israeli military shot and martyred a 15-year-old Palestinian teenager at a protest along Gaza-Israel border fence on Friday, as thousands of protesters marked the 48th 'Great March of Return' protests.

Iran Press/Middle East: Thousands of Gazans gathered on Friday in the eastern part of enclave's border with occupied lands for the 48th consecutive week, calling for the right of return of Palestinian refugees, according to an Iran Press report.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said 15-year-old Youssef al-Dayya was martyred at a hospital shortly after he was hit with a gunshot in the chest. The Israeli military shot indiscriminately at the crowd when thousands of Palestinians participated in protests along several sections of the frontier, with dozens approaching the heavily guarded fence.

Israeli military forces overnight detained over 40 Palestinians during large-scale raids across the city of al-Quds, according to the Palestine Prisoner’s Society (PPS) in a press release.

Palestinian protests 'Great March of Return', began on 30 March 2018, for the commemoration of Land Day, when in 1976 six Palestinian citizens in the occupied lands were killed by Israeli forces after protesting the confiscation of their land.  103/211/209
