Iran's Interior Minister said on Thursday that no development in the region will be likely in Iran's absence.

Iran Press/ Iran news: "Iran's influence in the international scene is proven and without Iran's presence no development in the region would be likely," Rahmani-Fazli told a group of economic officials in a meeting on Thursday.

He said the Islamic Republic of Iran is now an influential country internationally.

The interior minister added, Iran is so influential in the region because of abundant commonalities and affinities with others, especially with the neighbors, so much so that they have common destiny with them, IRNA reported.

When the countries are invaded and subject to enemy's covetous plans, Iran will spare no efforts to help them if asked so, he said.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Rahmani-Fazli added the US is now alone internationally and the IAEA, Europe, Russia, China and regional states do not cooperate with it. 105/203
