Iran news: During a visit to a military base in northeast Iran, Brigadier General Kiumars Heidari said an upgrade in agility, mobility and effectiveness of the ground forces, has increased their offensive power.
Mobility and agility are the main characteristics of the ground forces of the Iranian army, he added.
General Heidari also said updated and more advanced ordnance and military equipment has enabled the army to combat any threat, Iran Press reported.
Last week, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei urged the Iranian Armed Forces to boost their military capabilities and preparedness in such a way that the enemies would not dare to threaten the country.
In comments widely reported, Ayatollah Khamenei said: “Increase your capabilities and preparedness as much as you can, so that the enemies of Iran would not even dare threaten this great nation.” 103
