Iran Press/Asia: Pakistan’s caretaker Foreign Minister Abdullah Hussain Haroon in a press conference
in Karachi said that the United States has created a global war in Chinese waters and recently has given India an important role in Indo-pacific region.
By saying that the US believes that Islamabad is not in a position to help Washington, Pakistan’s caretaker Foreign Minister added that the US has stopped pursuing positive approach towards Pakistan and for last many years they have been weaving a web around the country.
“We need to keep ourselves in a place where we can improve at least our economic issues,” the foreign minister said.
Meanwhile, Pakistan's new prime minister Imran Khan during his recent speech said: “Unfortunately up to now, our relationship has been one-way. America pays Pakistan for fighting its' war, which has really damaged Pakistan.”
Pakistan's new prime minister also took a tougher stance against the United States and reportedly called for a new, “mutually beneficial” relationship with America that takes a turn away from the 2001 partnership brokered between both nations to work against terrorism.
Pakistan’s economy is in dire straits. According to the Wall Street Journal, “Many experts believe brakes will have to be put on the economy to stop sucking in so many imports, which could undermine his pledge to create 10 million jobs.”
