Iranian Army Commander in chief, Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi

Commander-in-Chief of Army said that the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran can deter enemy threats.

Iran Press / Iran news: Visiting army air defence units and Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps stationed in Bushehr province on Monday, Seyyed Abdolrahim Mousavi said: "The Army and Guard Corps air defence units protect all the important, critical and vital areas of the country."

Mousavi went on to say that the armed forces have taken the necessary measures to forcefully defend the country's air, sea and land borders, and there is no vacuum in the defence of the country.

Referring to the presence of foreigners in the West Asian region, he said: "Insecurity and tensions have increased in the region since trans-regional countries entered the West Asian region."

"Trans-regional countries have brought insecurity and tension since entering the West Asia region. The security of the Persian Gulf has been maintained for 40 years by the efforts of the Islamic Republic's armed forces, and if the countries of the region help, it will be the safest place in the world," he added.

Mousavi also noted that martial power, military readiness, the precise alignment of radar equipment and weapons, as well as motivation of the armed forces to defend the country, are three main elements of countering any threat.

"By the help of God, Islamic Republic of Iran is very powerful, and the enemies of Iran know the real power of the country," Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Republic of Iran Army concluded. 207/219
