Tehran (IP) - Iranian President Hassan Rouhani said in a telephone conversation with the president of Niger that Iran is ready to share experiences with Niger in all areas, including the fight against terrorism.

Iran PressIran News: Speaking to the President of Niger Mahamadou Issoufou, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani praised the country's continued support for JCPOA and UN Security Council Resolution 2231, noting that the root of many of the world's problems has been the misusing of some countries of the international organizations. I am very pleased that Iran and Niger share the view that international relations should be based on justice, legitimacy, and human value.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran has also made successful efforts to control the spread of Coronavirus and we are ready to exchange our experiences with our friendly and Muslim country of Niger,” he added.

Referring to the four decades of friendly relations between Tehran and Niamey, the President added, "The two countries have had good cooperation in the fields of mineral exploration, health, and agriculture, and I hope we can use all our capacities to expand relations between the two countries. Iran is also ready to share its counter-terrorism experiences with the Republic of Niger.”

I am sure that the Republic of Niger, as a member of the Non-Aligned Movement, has acted quite independently and professionally during its presidency of the United Nations Security Council, as it did in the face of the illegal resolution to extend the arms embargo on Iran and will prevent the abuse of the United Nations and the Security Council for US extravagance and unilateralism.

President Mahamadou Issoufou said that relations between the two countries have been very good and friendly for the past four decades including countering Coronavirus, and Niger is ready to expand these relationships in all areas.
