Iran Press/ Iran news: Speaking at his weekly presser on Monday morning, the Spokesman of Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs Nasser Kanaani reacted to news circulated by regional media about the Zionist regime preparing for a major operation against Lebanon.
"Iran's decisive policy in the region is to support peace, stability, and security in the region. It is a universal recognition that the Zionist regime is the most important threat to peace and stability in the region and this regime was and is the main cause of war in the region," Kanaani explained.
Iranian diplomat stressed: " Now after eight months of this regime's war against the Gaza Strip, the world is convinced that this regime is trying to fuel war and insecurity and expand the scope of the war in the region. The threats of this regime against Lebanon should be taken seriously by the international community and the United Nations."
"Any provocative actions of this regime against Lebanon and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country should be strongly condemned, Kanaani urged regional countries.
"For securing stability, security and control the scope of war, the establishment of an immediate ceasefire in the region is necessary," Kanaani said.
The Spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reminded the responsibility of the US, UK, and European countries to stop supporting the Israeli regime and prevent this regime from waging war in the region.
Kanaani then went on to state: "We must emphasize that the maintenance of stability, security, and respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Lebanon must be emphasized and paid attention to by all parties.
"The government, the nation, and the Lebanese army have the right to respond to the aggressive and provocative actions of this regime, and resistance against this regime is a guarantee of stability and security and the establishment of peace in Lebanon and a strong shield against the aggression of this regime," He added.
Kanaani said: The Zionists should know that the Resistance didn't remain silent against the aggression of the Zionists on Gaza, they will not remain silent in the face of any adventurous action against Lebanon and the sovereignty and territorial integrity of this country.

The Spokesman of the Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs described measures being taken to uphold Iranian presidential snap elections for citizens outside the country.
Nasser Kanaani also about Arbaeen March 2024 said that a committee was formed in the foreign ministry to address the issue and meetings were held with Iranian missions in Kabala, Najaf, Baghdad, and other Iraqi cities.

Kanaani then stated: "The US and Britain have become accomplices of the regime in a tripartite operation. The international community must understand its legal and international responsibilities once again, look at the painful situation in Gaza, and take immediate and serious action to stop the crime of the regime in Gaza."
He said: "The situation does not show that the US has a serious will to establish a ceasefire." For the first step, the US should avoid sending military equipment to the Zionist regime."
"He emphasized that nothing can reduce the responsibility of international organizations, the world community, and the Security Council towards the Palestinian issue, and they must diligently fulfill their legal and moral duty to support the Palestinian people.
Iran's Acting FM to Visit Iraq for Political, Bilateral Ties
Nasser Kanaani told reporters that the Acting FM soon is about to leave Tehran for Bagdad to hold talks with high-ranking Iraqi officials about bilateral and regional issues, adding that the exact date will be announced as soon as it is determined.
Kanaani in response to the court case against the US by the PJAK group victims' families, said: I do not fully know about the details of the case, but we all have witnessed that some parties using terrorist groups as political tools to achieve illegitimate intentions, which is a destructive policy that threatens regional security.
Sheltered in Iraq's Kurdistan Region, the "Kurdistan Free Life Party", or PJAK is a leftist Kurdish armed militant outfit pugnacious to the Islamic Republic of Iran and follows separationist policies toward the country.

JCPOA Western Parties Had Better Fulfill Commitments
Iran's Foreign Ministry Spokesman in response to a question about European countries exerting pressure on Iran over the JCPOA and Iran's nuclear program, said: Some European parties' actions against Iran's nuclear issue are non-constructive, who themselves are not committed to their obligations regarding Iran's nuclear issue and the JCPOA.
Iran's international nuclear agreement or "Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA)" was signed between Iran and Western countries P5+1 countries (Russia, China, UK, Germany, France, and the US) in 2015, to lift the West's sanctions on Iran, but the US scrapped it on May 18, 2018, re-imposing more sanctions on Iran.
He further said that such actions do not have legal validity and that the European parties had better act as the signatories of the international agreement to realize their responsibilities instead of making accusations against Iran.
Kanaani reiterated that Iran is committed and adheres to international laws and treaties, and as for its nuclear activities, it acts within the framework of the IAEA (International Atomic Energy Agency), the Safeguard Agreement, and NPT (Non-Proliferation Treaty).
He also referred to the Western party's use of the snapback mechanism, saying that it is natural that Iran acts and will act within the framework of its rights and obligations.
