Tehran (IP) - In an address at the National Passive Defense Conference, Major General Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, stressed that the Zionist regime's forces have not been able to set foot in Gaza. Their hesitance, he declared, arises from the stark awareness that such an incursion would only result in yet another defeat for them.

Iran PressIran news: General Bagheri underscored that the recent events unfolding in Gaza serve as a testament to the paramount importance of the Palestinian issue within the Islamic world. The operation known as the Al-Aqsa Flood, he emphasized, emerged as a response to years of Zionist oppression. It was the unwavering strength of Palestinian resistance that successfully shattered the illusions of invincibility surrounding the Zionist regime.

In a resolute tone, General Bagheri dismissed any attempts to attribute the Al-Aqsa Flood operation to external forces as a mere diversion from the resounding failure of the Zionist regime. He credited this operation as an impeccably executed endeavor, revealing the true vulnerabilities beneath the façade of the Israeli regime. The events of October 7 laid bare that Palestinian territory is not up for colonization or investment, and Israel's capacity to serve as a reliable ally for other nations is equally questionable.

General Bagheri also shed light on the Zionist regime's futile bombing campaigns in Gaza, stating that their actions hold no military significance. He stressed that even if they were to persist in such indiscriminate bombardment for an entire year, they would still face defeat because they remain incapable of confronting the military might of the Palestinian resistance.

Speaking on the recent developments in Gaza, General Bagheri noted that despite the presence of five armored divisions with 1,500 tanks at the Gaza border, the Zionists refrain from entering the territory due to their well-founded fears of another resounding defeat. Images of burning tanks, personnel carriers, and Zionist soldiers have borne witness to their apprehension.

General Bagheri emphasized the self-reliance of the Palestinians in their design, training, and combat strategies. He underscored that the ultimate determining factor in this ongoing conflict is the unwavering determination of the Palestinian people to claim their rights.

In closing, the General reiterated the Islamic Republic's proposal of a referendum among all Palestinians, stating that the results of such an endeavor would garner universal acceptance.
