Zarif meets with Kyrgyz President

Bishkek (IP) - Iran's Foreign Minister who is in Bishkek for talks with Kyrgyz officials, met with the country's President to discuss mutual interest.

Iran PressAsia: During the meeting with President Sadyr Japarov, Mohammad Javad Zarif noted the existing capacities for expanding cooperation between the two countries in various fields and thanked the President for paying attention to bilateral relations.

The Foreign Minister also stressed the need to follow up on the previous decisions of the Joint Economic Cooperation Commission of the two countries and the readiness of the 13th meeting of the Commission.

The President of Kyrgyzstan, for his part, stressed the importance of developing cooperation with Iran and said that the continuation of political relations between the two countries is a sign of the two sides' interest in improving the level of cooperation.

Referring to the high capacity for economic cooperation, especially in agriculture, medicine, and construction, Japarov called for cooperation between the two countries in these fields.

The Kyrgyz president also thanked Iran for its humanitarian aid to the country to fight ​​coronavirus.
