Europe: According to an Iran Press report, Iran's foreign minister Mohammad Javad Zarif who has arrived in Rome to take part in the annual Mediterranean Dialogues Conference (MED) met his Italian counterpart Enzo Moavero Milanesi in the morning.
The two sides discussed range of topics including political, economic, cultural, and international issues of concern.
They also talked about the latest developments on JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) as well as Europe's Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to secure the nuclear deal specially after America's withdrawal.

"US has not only breached JCPOA but also the United Nations Security Council resolution 2231. It also encouraged other nations to violate it as well as threatening the countries which have respected the resolution," emphasised Zarif.
United Nations security council resolution 2231 was a resolution endorsing the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the nuclear program of Iran. It sets out an inspection process and schedule while also preparing for the removal of United Nations sanctions against Iran.
In return, Moavero Milanesi also called JCPOA as an agreement which strengthens international peace and security. He also stressed Italy's all out efforts to save the deal together with other EU members.

The two foreign ministers also discussed cementing of economic and cultural ties and cooperation particularly in the fields of tourism and scientific cooperation.
The two diplomats also discussed regional developments including the situation in Syria and Yemen. They also discussed developments in Libya.
Zarif who is visiting Italy upon an official invitation from his Italian counterpart, had said upon his arrival on Wednesday evening that "My talks with Italian officials will include Europe's independent financial mechanism for trade with Iran, known as SPV."
After his arrival in Rome, Zarif said: "The Mediterranean Dialogues Conference (MED) provides a good opportunity to set out Iran's stance vis-a-vis the very dangerous situation in the Middle East, America's unilateralism and its policies in the Middle East, and the situation of extremists and terrorists in the region. I will also have talks with senior Italian officials, other foreign ministers, Iranians living in Italy, and Italian businessmen and industrialists, on the sidelines of the conference."
