Oman (IP) - The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the lifting of the blockade on Yemen while meeting the top negotiator of the Yemeni National Salvation Government.

Iran PressMiddle East: The Islamic Republic of Iran's Foreign Minister left Tehran for Musca on Tuesday evening while leading a delegation.

Hossein Amir-Abdollahian met with Yemen's Mohammad Abdul Salam in Muscat on Wednesday and appreciated the resistance of the Yemeni people in defending their rights, emphasizing the support of the Islamic Republic of Iran for the Yemeni nation. 

As a humanitarian issue, the blockade on Yemen must be lifted so that the people of the country could enjoy normal living conditions in their country, Amir-Abdollahian said.

He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran always stressed political solutions through intra-Yemeni talks to the settlement of the Yemeni crisis. 

Yemen's senior negotiator Mohammad Abdul Salam appreciated Iran's support for the Yemeni nation and presented a report of the latest developments in Yemen to the Iranian FM. 

Amir-Abdollahian returned to Iran on Wednesday evening.
