Iran Press/ Middle East: The Yemeni army and popular committees managed to kill and injure a number of Saudi-backed mercenary forces in skirmishes and exchange of fire in Hayfan.
According to an Iran Press report on Tuesday, the Yemeni army and popular committees also managed to take control of the Saudi mercenary positions near the 'Alab' passage way in Asir province in Saudi Arabia.
Also the Yemeni army and popular committees managed to destroy a number of vehicles belonging to Saudi-backed forces in Al Jawf province in northern Yemen.
Saudi Arabia has launched a devastating war on neighbouring Yemen since March 2015, killing at least 16000 Yemenis, wounding tens of thousands of civilians, and displacing millions of Yemeni people. The Saudi war has also led to widespread shortages, malnutrition, famine, disease and epidemics in the country, which according to the United Nations is currently the world's worst humanitarian disaster.211/203
