Iran Press/ West Asia: "In a decisive move to stand with the oppressed Palestinian people and show solidarity with people in Gaza, Yemeni Naval Forces have launched precision strikes against the American ship Star Iris in the Red Sea," Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Saree said in a televised address, Al-Masirah reported.
"The strikes were carried out with suitable naval missiles, and were accurate and direct, hitting their target with precision," the Yemeni Armed Forces spokesman Yahya Sare'e stated on Monday.
Sare'e affirmed that the targeting came as a response to the ongoing US-British aggression against Yemen.
"The Yemeni Armed Forces, fulfilling their religious, moral, and humanitarian duty, affirm their commitment to preventing Israeli navigation and any vessels heading to occupied Palestine ports in the Red and Arab Seas," he added. "This stance will persist until the aggression ceases and the siege on the people of Gaza is lifted."
Furthermore, in a clear message against Zionist atrocities in Gaza, the Yemeni Armed Forces vow to continue their operations without hesitation.
These operations serve as a direct response to the crimes committed against the people in Gaza and the ongoing aggression by the American-British coalition against Yemen.
Yemenis have openly expressed their support for Palestine's struggle against Israeli occupation, particularly intensified after Israel launched a devastating attack on Gaza on October 7.
Leader of the Revolution Sayyed Abdulmalik Al-Houthi has affirmed that confronting America directly is a great honor and blessing.
