Iran Press/ Iran news: In a letter to Zhang Ming, the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, expressed Tehran’s deep concerns regarding the ongoing crimes of the Israeli occupation regime.
He demanded the Shanghai Cooperation Organization's reaction to halt the attacks in the Gaza Strip, to stop the crime against humanity, and to hold the aggressor regime accountable.
The Iranian Minister of Foreign Affairs referred to the support of the United States and some Western countries for the Israeli regime as the basis for its continued perpetration of crimes and repeated, gross violations of international law.
While highlighting the long history of the Israeli regime's heinous international crimes against the Palestinians, he warned of a potential major humanitarian disaster in Gaza if the international community does not take action.
Amir-Abdollahian urged the Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to condemn the actions of the Israeli regime against the defenseless and oppressed people of Palestine.

Amir-Abdollahian also sent separate letters to the foreign ministers of the BRICS countries expressing deep concern over the atrocities committed by the Israeli regime in Palestine.

He urged for proactive and constructive intervention by the BRICS member countries to halt the attacks in the Gaza Strip, prevent crimes against humanity, and hold the aggressors accountable.
The letters highlighted the illegal usurpation of Palestinian lands, mass killings, destruction of homes and farms, assaults on medical facilities, as well as the arrest, torture, and humiliation and attacking the dignity of men, women, and even children by the occupying regime.
Amir-Abdollahian stressed that these actions are part of the crimes committed against the oppressed Palestinian people.
Emphasizing the pivotal role of BRICS and other significant post-western alliances like the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the Eurasian Union, SICA, ASEAN, and others, Amir-Abdollahian urged these organizations to prioritize the dire situation in Gaza.
He called for urgent measures to address the most critical issues within the current global order, aiming to establish justice for the oppressed, hold accountable those responsible for international crimes, and create a just and equitable world order.
In his letter addressed to the Minister of International Relations and Cooperation of the Republic of South Africa, Grace Naldi Mandisa Pandour, Iran’s Foreign Minister, conveyed Tehran’s gratitude for the South African government's commendable action in issuing a statement supporting the oppressed people of Palestine.
Amir-Abdollahian highlighted the crimes of the Israeli regime and the process of killing civilians and defenseless people in Palestine. He praised the valuable suggestions within the statement from the Ministry of International Relations and Cooperation of South Africa, particularly emphasizing the urgent need for the International Criminal Court to initiate proceedings concerning the massacre of children in Gaza. Additionally, he endorsed the proposal to establish a rapid protection force to shield the civilian population from the occupying regime's bombardment. Amir-Abdollahian considered these ideas commendable and suggested that independent countries should follow them as a model.
He also expressed the readiness of the Islamic Republic of Iran to continue consultations and joint efforts in this field with the Republic of South Africa.
