Wildfires triggered by extreme heat continue to claim lives while forcing thousands to flee their homes in many countries across the world.

Iran PressEurope: Scorching weather is gripping three continents, whipping up wildfires in countries, including Syria, Italy, Greece, Portugal, Croatia, Spain, France, Algeria and Tunisia. Nearly three dozen people have been killed in the blazes in Algeria. Italy has reported seven deaths while three were killed in neighboring Greece. 

The blazes, many of which out of control, have destroyed homes, forests and agricultural land. Thousands of firefighters are struggling tocontain the blazes, with some countries deploying army personnel to help fire extinguishing crew. 

High tempretures, dry weather conditions and strong winds are said to be fanning the flames. The temperature have soared to around 50 degrees Celsius in some regions.
