Tehran (IP)- Within the week ending on November 17, 2023, the Iran mercantile exchange (IME), witnessed trade of around 3 million tonnes of commodities with a total trading value of more than 649 million USD on its physical market, posting growths of 1.4% in volume and 8.4% in value of trades compared to the figures of the previous week.

Iran PressIran news: According to a report by the IME's International Affairs and PR, the exchange saw on its metals and minerals trading floor trade of 2,405,543 tonnes of commodities valued at almost 426 million USD.

On this floor the IME sold 1,329,553 tonnes of cement, 527,000 tonnes of iron ore, 417,375 tonnes of steel, 119,000 tonnes of sponge iron, 7,931 tonnes of copper, 6,965 tonnes of aluminum, 1,000 tonnes of coke, 825 tonnes of zinc, 200 tonnes of molybdenum concentrate and 75 tonnes of lead.

Furthermore, the IME witnessed on both domestic and export rings of its oil and petrochemical trading floor 498,114 tonnes of commodities worth nearly 219 million USD.

Commodities traded on this floor included 152,552 tonnes of bitumen, 141,650 tonnes of vacuum bottom, 88,208 tonnes of polymeric products, 62,000 tonnes of lube cut, 30,544 tonnes of chemicals, 14,250 tonnes of sulfur, 4,145 tonnes of oil, 4,000 tonnes of petroleum products, 540 tonnes of feedstocks and 300 tonnes of waterproofing materials.

The IME also traded within the same week 8,456 tonnes of goods on its side market.
