Islamabad (IP)- The former Minister of Parliamentary Affairs of Pakistan says that President Raisi's visit to the country will be a great honor.

Iran Press/Asia: Talking to Iran Press, Sheikh Aftab Ahmed, recently elected as a Member of the National Assembly, said, "We will welcome him; Iranians are our neighbors and a Muslim country. We have historical relations with each other, it will be a pleasure for us to have them come.

Sheikh Aftab referred to Iran's gas export to Pakistan and said that if the gas project is implemented, it will solve the problems of the Pakistani people.

"This will boost Pakistan's economy, reduce the energy crisis and provide many benefits from gas supply."

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi is scheduled to have a two-day visit to Pakistan on April 22, Pakistani newspaper The News reported.
