Tehran (IP) - The Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament announced that an agreement had been reached with the US envoy to this country to establish a ceasefire between Hezbollah and the Zionist regime.

Iran Press/West Asia: In this regard, the head of the Lebanese Parliament, "Nabieh Berri" announced that he had reached an understanding with Washington's envoy "Amos Hockstein" regarding the ceasefire clauses, the deployment of the Lebanese army in the south, and the implementation of Resolution 1701.

In an interview with the "Al-Sharq Al-Awsat" newspaper, Nabih Berri said that Lebanon would not accept even one word of Security Council Resolution No. 1701 to be changed.

He added: "We are waiting for Hochstein to reach an understanding with Benjamin Netanyahu on what we have agreed upon."

Barry stressed the necessity of providing guarantees for the implementation of Resolution 1701 within a specified and agreed-upon period: If Hochstein reaches an understanding with Netanyahu, Lebanon is ready to implement and adhere to the agreement at any moment.

He added: Now the ball is in Netanyahu's court, and we will see if he is ready to move within the framework that we have agreed with the American envoy, or if he will violate the agreement once again like in the past.

Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati also expressed his hope that a ceasefire will be established with the Zionist regime in the coming hours or days.

Meanwhile, the Zionist Radio and Television Organization reported that the American envoy Hochstein is preparing a draft agreement between the Zionist regime and Lebanon.

The source mentioned that the Israeli army will withdraw from Lebanon for a week and will resume its operations in case of violation of the agreement.

On Wednesday, the "Axios" website wrote, quoting three informed sources: Biden's senior advisers will arrive in Israel on Thursday to try to conclude an agreement that will end the war in Lebanon.

Journalists and American officials said that an agreement that would end the war between the Zionist regime and Hezbollah could be reached within a few weeks.
