Iran Press/Iran news: At the start of his speech on Saturday, Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah said millions of Iranians took to streets during the celebration of 40th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution in order to send a strong message to the US and Israeli regime that the Iranian people still support their government despite foreign pressures.
Nasrallah also criticized the Persian Gulf countries’ media for not covering the huge turnout of Iranians in the anniversary rallies, saying that no media outlets funded by Persian Gulf Arab states covered Iran’s multi-million-strong rallies on 11 February, Iran Press reported.
The Hezbollah chief further referred to the crisis in Yemen, saying US and Israel are fully supporting the war being waged by the Saudis and the UAE.
He further added that all Arab and Muslim peoples of the region reject normalization of ties with the Israeli regime, and the plot is condemned and rejected throughout the region.
Commenting on the end of ISIS, Nasrallah said ISIS has been eliminated completely in Iraq, Syria and Lebanon. He dismissed American claims that they fought against ISIS, adding they created the terrorist group. The American administrations of Barack Obama and Donald Trump helped and supported ISIS in Iraq and expanded it to Syria, Nasrallah said.
He further said that senior US officials including Clinton and Trump have admitted that the US created ISIS terrorists.
The Hezbollah chief further noted that the Americans delayed the defeat of ISIS, particularly in Syria's Bu Kamal. He added that US hypocrites used ISIS to return to Iraq and to occupy Syria.
Nasrallah added that Trump prevented the liberation of ISIS territories by the Syrian and Iraqi popular forces, especially in Syria's Bu Kamal, stressing that the Americans cannot claim they defeated ISIS.
Nasrallah poignantly added: "It is the Resistance who destroyed ISIS and ended its crimes."
Nasrallah further noted the recent US-sponsored conference on peace and security in the Middle East, which was held in the Polish capital, Warsaw. He said the Warsaw conference was an attempt to isolate Iran, and to portray the Palestinian problem as solved.
He further pointed out that Iran has always been ready to help Lebanon, adding that the Lebanese government rejects Iran’s help because of US and Saudi interference.
Nasrallah added: "Lebanon suffers from a shortage of electricity because of political bickering. Some former Lebanese officials do not want Iran’s assistance with regards to electricity production and medicine because of foreign interference."
Elsewhere in his speech, Nasrallah rejected the US administration’s claims on Hezbollah’s presence in Venezuela, saying that: "We reject what the Americans are saying about the influence of Hezbollah in Venezuela. We're solidifying Venezuela against the ill-intentions of US, and US claims about our influence are ridiculous."
Nasrallah added: "There is no group, network, or organization affiliated with us in Latin America, and we do not have any organization abroad." 105/ 211 /205
