Isfahan (IP) - The Speaker of Vietnam's Parliament says Isfahan, central Iran, enjoys significant potential in cultural, economic, agricultural, and industrial areas.

Iran PressIran News:  A Vietnamese Parliamentary delegation headed by the county's Chairman of the National Assembly, Vuong Dinh Hue, arrived in Iran on Tuesday on the occasion of the 50th anniversary Iran-Vietnam ties.

Visiting Isfahan, Vong Dinh Hue met with the city's Governor Reza Mortazavi and said: "50 years have passed since the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Iran, and strengthening cooperation in cultural, commercial and economic fields is on the agenda to enhance the people's welfare." 

Vong also said: "After talking with the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, we signed the first memorandum of cooperation in the parliamentary history of Vietnam and Iran; we have realized that there is a lot of cooperation capacity between the two countries that should be boosted." 

During the trip, he visited some historical buildings and the sites where Iranian genius handicrafts, including hand-woven carpets and copper dishes, are produced and sold.
