Iran Press/ West Asia: According to the Iran Press News Agency on Thursday Israeli regime warplanes targeted the Iran Red Crescent Society - IRCS - makeshift hospital in the vicinity of Lebanon's border with Syria.
Following recent Israeli attacks on Lebanon (since September 23) the Iranian Red Crescent Society has set up a field hospital on the border of Lebanon and Syria on October 4.
Also, the IRCS has set up an emergency shelter for injured and displaced Lebanese people affected by the conflict.
On Thursday, the IRCS's center was targeted by Israeli regime warplanes and burned down in the fire.
Pir Hossein Kolivand, the head of the IRCS said that no paramedics were killed in the Zionist regime's aggression.
IRCS Condemnes Israeli Savage Attack
"The IRCS as an active and leading member of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, and in line with its humanitarian goals, to alleviate the human suffering of displaced people and civilians affected by the brutal attacks of the Zionist regime against Lebanon, established a 56-bed field hospital on the border Kurdish country of Syria. This hospital was a storage place for food, medicine, and medical equipment, which was attacked today," Kolivand said.
Kolaivand said, "Ambulances, field hospital, and all the medical equipment and items of this center were destroyed in the attack", adding that " Fortunately no paramedics were killed in the Zionist regime's aggression".
The head of the IRCS said: " This act by the Zionist regime is condemned according to the principles and rules of international humanitarian law, according to which any attack and assault on civilian places and centers, especially medical centers and hospitals, is prohibited, and we send a letter to the heads of the Federation and the International Committee of the Red Cross to report the issue and calling for condemning the regime's act and file a complaint against the occupying regime."
On Thursday evening, Zionist regime warplanes attacked the central neighborhood of Beirut killing at least 22 and wounding another 117 people.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Israeli attacks across Lebanon killed at least 22 people and injured 80 others.
At Least 2,163 people were killed and 10,216 wounded since Israeli aggression started attacks on Lebanon.
