Tehran (IP)- Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education called children's vaccination very important to counter COVID-19 all over the world.

Iran Press/Iran news: In an exclusive interview with Iran Press on the sidelines of the 3rd National Scientific Committee of COVID-19 meeting of the new administration in Iran, Ghasem Janbabaei said that children's vaccination is very important to cut the transmission chain of COVID-19.

He noted: "Right now, Iran's vaccination portfolio is very diverse and it has expanded, so there is no vaccine shortage in the country."

Janbabaei added: "Vaccination of students under 12 will also be carried out soon in accordance with the policies of the National Scientific Committee of COVID-19."

The 3rd meeting of the National Scientific Committee of COVID-19 chaired by Deputy Minister of Health and Medical Education, Ghasem Janbabaei was held at Shahid Rajaei Cardiovascular, Medical, and Research center on Tuesday Morning with the attendance of 50 health officials, and professors.

During the meeting, experts discussed the latest issues on reopening of schools, educational institutions, and universities as well as the students' vaccination during the coronavirus pandemic.
