An american political writer and documentary filmmaker has said America's exit from the Iran nuclear deal would send a wrong signal to North Korea.

Rory O'Connor, an american political writer and documentary filmmaker, has said: "The United States possible exit from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) would send a wrong message to Pyongyang".

O'Connor asked, "How come the United States wants to exit from an agreement that Washington itself and the other countries have signed ? Would not North Korea ask questions about America's commitment to other international agreements?"

Trump has been a vociferous critic of the agreement known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), calling it the “worst deal ever” , and often threatening to tear it up.

Back in January, he said he was extending the sanctions relief on Iran for the last time, giving the European signatories a May 12 deadline to fix what he claimed were “flaws” in the agreement or he would refuse to waive those bans.

Iran insists there is no way it will renegotiate the nuclear deal, which was endorsed by the UN Security Council Resolution 2231 in 2015.
