The US government sanctioned 6 individuals and 5 organizations related to Iran in a continuation of its hostile policies against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Iran PressAmerica: The sanctions target six officials in the cyber-electronic command of the IRGC and a network of Iran and Hong Kong-based suppliers providing materials for Iran’s ballistic missile and drone programs, the US Treasury Department said in a statement.

The US Department of Treasury also announced that it has sanctioned six officials of the Cyber Electronics Command of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

The measures came as President Joe Biden on Friday launched dozens of air strikes on targets in Iraq and Syria in retaliation for a drone attack last week that killed three US troops in Jordan.

During the last four decades, the United States has carried out the most unilateral policies and measures against the Islamic Republic of Iran in various ways, such as imposing the most extensive sanctions, and military threats, launching political and diplomatic campaigns, and psychological warfare.

Despite the ineffectiveness of US unilateral policies and actions against Iran, Washington still insists on the continuation of this illegal approach against Tehran which is contrary to the UN Charter. 219
