Tehran (IP) - The first vice president of the Islamic Republic of Iran said that the United States allocated around $400 million to counter the Islamic Republic of Iran through media during last year's riots.

Iran PressIran News: Mohammad Mokhber made these remarks on Monday in Tehran, on the occasion of Journalist's Day.

He referred to the unrest in Iran and stated that the enemies' latest attempt was to mobilize all media outlets to incite people to take to the streets, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

According to Mokhber, there is no historical precedent for gathering 50,000 individuals from different countries and financing their expenses for protesting against a nation. Nevertheless, Western powers managed to unite renowned singers with millions of followers to sing against the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The first vice president emphasized: "Iran is engaged in a hand to hand media battle."

He highlighted: "Although the number of participants in the riots in Iran was not significant, the enemies portrayed it as if the entire country was engulfed in flames. This demonstrates the power of media manipulation."
