New York (IP) - A group of blacks and supporters of freedom and equality in America came to the streets of Manhattan, New York, on the anniversary of the killing of George Floyd, a black man who was killed by the American police.

Iran Press/America: George Floyd, a black American, was killed on May 25, 2020, by Derek Chauvin, a police officer in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The policeman put his knee on George Floyd's neck for 9 minutes and finally, this black man was suffocated and killed. 

Floyd's death triggered major protests in Minneapolis and sparked rage across the country. After four years, black people and supporters of freedom and equality of social rights are still coming to the streets on the anniversary of the murder. On Saturday, May 25, 2024, a group of young black people protested the violent behavior of the American police against black people in the country by chanting George Floyd's name in some streets of Manhattan.

The police forces arrested several protesters. Black youths and supporters of racial freedom and equality in the United States, in addition to condemning the violent and racist behavior of the American police towards blacks and non-whites, also announced their support for the oppressed people of the Gaza Strip. 219
