Iran Press/Europe: "We agreed on what we wanted to say jointly on Iran," the French president Emanuel Macron told LCI television.
"There is a message from the G7 on our objectives and the fact that we share them is important, which avoids divisions that in the end weaken everybody," he added.
However, talking to reporters on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Biarritz, the US President Donald Trump denied Macron's remarks saying: "No, I haven't discussed that."
Trump said: "We'll do our own outreach. But you can't stop people from talking. If they want to talk, they can talk."
Seven of the world's top industrial countries, namely Germany, Japan, Italy, UK, Canada, France, and the US gathered on Saturday night with the French president as the chairman of the summit.
Trump withdrew the US from the agreement in May 2018 and has since steadily increased sanctions against Iran.
In response to the US’ unilateral withdrawal and Europe’s failure to live up to its commitments, Iran notified its remaining partners in the 2015 nuclear deal that it would suspend the implementation of some of its commitments.
The first phase of the measure was kicked off on May 8 and the second phase started on July 7. 104/208
