Iran Press/Iran News: "While Joe Biden boasted about the war against terrorism and ISIS during the campaign, his authorization to strike local anti-ISIS forces shows how White House is hypocrite vis-à-vis terrorism and keeps its friendship with DAESH (ISIS)," Hossein Amir-Abdollahian wrote in a tweet on Sunday.
Amir-Abdollahian added that the mask of White House occupants had just changed and nothing more.
The Pentagon said that US military fighter jets had bombarded resistance groups' positions in eastern Syria at the behest of Joe Biden.
The United States and the Zionist regime have repeatedly targeted resistance forces' positions in different parts of Syria and Iraq.
They have stepped up efforts to intensify pressure on the resistance front after the resistance forces succeeded in countering terrorist groups in the region.
The United States has an illegal military presence in Syria since 2014 under the pretext of fighting the terrorist group ISIS despite repeated requests from the Syrian government to leave the country.
