Tiblisi (IP)— On Sunday night, protests against the Georgian parliament elections and the government's decision to suspend talks to join the EU got violent and protesters fired fireworks at Police, while Police forces fired tear gas to disperse protesters in Tbilisi.

Iran Press/Europe: On Sunday night for the fourth consecutive night protesters poured into the streets of Tbilisi and continued the demonstration on the evening of 1 December toward the Georgian Parliament.

The police fired water cannons at protesters while protesters threw stones and fireworks at police.

The unrest over the freezing of talks to join the EU also appears to be spreading beyond the capital Tbilisi.

The demonstrations increased after Prime Minister Kobakhidze announced talks on joining the EU would be delayed for another three years.

The earlier demonstration was against the Georgian Parliament Election.

According to the Central Election Commission, the 'Georgian Dream' party won about 54% of the 26 October elections vote.

Protesters from opposition parties accused the government of rigging the results of October’s elections.

On Saturday, 30 November, protests resumed in Georgia against the Georgian Dream party’s decision to abandon negotiations on the country’s accession to the European Union.

Demonstrations are taking place at several locations in Tbilisi, including outside the Georgian Parliament and near the Georgian Public Broadcaster.

In addition to Tbilisi, protests are occurring in the cities of Batumi, Zugdidi, Kutaisi, and Telavi, with additional demonstrations planned in Kvareli and Gurjaani.
