Ankara (IP)-A meeting titled 'Unity Under the Shadow of Al-Quds' was held on Saturday in Ankara, the capital of Türkiye, with the presence of religious thinkers, representatives of political parties, and Islamic organizations.

Iran PressAsia: The 2023 Quds Day rally was held in different countries of the world as the Israeli regime was not only witnessing the failure of its expansionist policies and its efforts to come out of isolation but also it must fight on several fronts to keep its entity survived. 

The first Quds Day rally was observed in 1979, after the Islamic Revolution, at the initiative of Imam Khomeini, to extend support to Palestinians in their fight for the liberation of occupied territories from the Israeli regime.

International Quds Day is a day of solidarity between the Islamic world and the people of Islamic countries, especially Iran and Türkiye, on the issue of Palestine, said Mohammad Farazmand, Iran's ambassador to Türkiye, during his speech at the conference.

This year, the World Quds Day rally and ceremony was held while the Israeli regime is facing a crisis and collapsing, and it has increased the hope of Muslims, he added.

Mehmet Görmez the former head of the Presidency of Turkiye Religious (Diyanet) Affairs, said: "As the Holy Quran says, Al-Aqsa Mosque is a safe haven for the truthful, and God willing, this holy place (Al-Quds) will be freed from the cruel liars."
