Iran Press/ Middle East: According to the official Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) on Thursday shipped 22 tons of medical aid to the country via a cargo plane through Sanaa International Airport, the Yemeni capital.
The health situation in Yemen has deteriorated sharply due to the six-year war imposed by Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates and several other countries.
This has led aid organizations to repeatedly warn of the dire consequences of the outbreak of the Coronavirus and other infectious diseases such as malaria in the country.
Saudi Arabia, with the support of the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and several other countries, has been conducting military aggression against Yemen since March 2015 and besieging it. The war in Saudi Arabia and its allies in Yemen has so far killed tens of thousands and displaced millions of Yemenis.
Saudi military aggression has also left the poor country of Yemen in dire need of food and medicine.
