The United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) has warned that fuel reserves at Gaza hospitals will probably run out within the next 24 hours.

Iran Press/ West Asia: The United Nations humanitarian office (OCHA) has warned Gaza hospitals’ last reserves of fuel will probably run out within the next 24 hours.

Amid continuing Israeli bombing of Gaza, the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestinian refugees (UNRWA) has said Israeli raids have created an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe.

Medics in Gaza warned Sunday that thousands could die as hospitals packed with wounded people ran desperately low on fuel and basic supplies.

Palestinians in the besieged coastal enclave struggled to find food, water and safety ahead of an expected Israeli ground offensive in the Gaza.

Earlier, the United States President Joe Biden has warned Israeli regime that any occupation of Gaza would be a “big mistake”. Speaking in an interview on US television, Biden said he supported the creation of a humanitarian corridor for people in Gaza to leave and aid to be delivered.

The Gaza Health Ministry said 2,670 Palestinians have been martyred and 9,600 wounded since the Israeli strikes erupted, more than in the 2014 Gaza war, which lasted over six weeks. That makes this the deadliest of the five Gaza wars for both sides. 219
