IP - Despite the opposition of the United States, the United Nations General Assembly set a deadline in a resolution to end Israel's occupation of the occupied Palestinian territories.

Iran Press/America: The United Nations General Assembly unanimously approved the resolution on the need to end the occupation and illegal existence of Israel in the Palestinian territories.

In this resolution, the Zionist regime has been given one year to evacuate and leave the occupied Palestinian lands.

124 countries voted in favor of this resolution, 14 countries voted against and 43 countries abstained.

This high positive vote was obtained while the representative of the United States in the United Nations asked the member states of the United Nations General Assembly to vote against this resolution.

This resolution stipulates that the occupying government must immediately end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territories within a maximum period of 12 months from the date of the decision.

The UN General Assembly resolution also calls on countries to "take steps to stop the importation of products originating from Israeli settlements, as well as the supply or transfer of weapons, ammunition and related equipment to Israel." This should be done in cases where there are logical reasons for using these weapons in the occupied Palestinian territories.
