The attendees stood in silence for one minute to honor the late Iranian President martyred Seyed Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
Denis Francis, President of the United Nations General Assembly, in his speech at this meeting said: "We gathered today to express our deep condolences to Iran following the matyrdom of President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian.
The UN General Assembly President said: "I greatly admire the diplomatic skills of the late Minister of Foreign Affairs Hossein Amir-Abdollahian."
The representative of Haiti in a speech by the Latin American and Caribbean group, said: "The martyrdom of the president of Iran was a shock to the world community."
The representative of the Non-Aligned Movement also said: "Iran, under the leadership of martyred President Raisi and Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian, has played an important role in promoting the cooperation of developing countries."
Amir Saeid Irvani, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Iran to the United Nations, said at the memorial ceremony of the President of Iran at the United Nations General Assembly: "I sincerely appreciate the sympathy of all countries regarding the martyrdom of Iranian President and his companions; this sympathy expresses their love and respect for the people of Iran and the victims of this tragic incident."
Iravani, Iran's representative to the United Nations, also said: "Martyres Raisi was a President who was highly respected for his commitment to good neighborly relations. During his exceptional presidency, President Raisi prioritized the development of relations with all parts of the world."
Iravani added that Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian was an outstanding diplomat and the characteristic of his work in the international and regional arena was mutual respect.
