According to the Iran Press news agency from London, following the disclosure of this information scandal, the British Ministry of Defense has not yet published a report on how the theft occurred and the information contained in the stolen items, several hours after the news was published, but it said that these items were stolen last year and during the previous government, and some items have also been found.
The Liberal Democrats, the third largest party in Britain, have called for an immediate investigation into the matter and have asked the Ministry of Defense to tighten security measures so that such scandals do not occur again.
Expressing deep concern about the misuse of stolen weapons and subsidy information, the party added: "These cases have seriously raised the alarm about the security of the country."
The discovery of classified British Ministry of Defense documents on destroyers, air defense, and military intelligence behind a bus stop has previously made headlines.
The documents consisted of fifty pages of classified information and were found behind a bus stop in Kent, southeast England. They covered such topics as Russia's possible response to the passage of the Royal Navy destroyer HMS Defender through Ukrainian waters near the coast of the Crimean Peninsula, arms exports, the latest US-UK defense talks, and Britain's plans to continue its military presence in Afghanistan after NATO forces withdraw from the country.
At the time, several MPs called the scandal embarrassing and called on the government to assure the public that national security had not been compromised by this.
British MPs have called the discovery of classified documents covering a wide range of critical areas of national security "shameful" and have demanded that the government immediately reveal how the classified documents were removed from the Ministry of Defence and then released in this way.
